I saw a reblog of a picture that Malysa took with her iPhone of me the other night at the bar. The reblogger is called “whereismyiphone”. My picture has a nifty little Google Maps link, and you can click it and see EXACTLY WHERE the fucking picture was taken. Something about that creeps me the fuck out. I don’t want to be found like that. I mean, I guess it can be useful if like, someone is dead and dying and bloodied somewhere and the last thing they did before being knocked the fuck out and stripped of their clothes was take a picture of themselves. But then I guess if they never share it, it’s no fucking use right? Because like, they’re gagged with duct tape and bound with jumper cables. And the internet would never know. Til way after the fact.

Basically, this geo-tagging has no benefit to it at all. If you can’t remember where you took a picture, then you must’ve not cared or you’re just a fucking idiot. No one needs this.

Except stalkers.

this is the reason i haven’t blogged a single picture since i’ve been at my parent’s house in the GA - not like i really think anyone reading this is going to stalk me here - but you can never be too careful!

but yesterday while i was in the car (to remember: post walk/lunch/adventuring in blue ridge, i was laying in the backseat of the nav with my jackets as pillows, listening to music while my mom and aunt got some foodstuff at ingles) looking through my photos on my blackberry, i noticed that i had geotagging turned off - sigh of relief, people.

for blackberries: to turn off geotagging, while in camera mode (about to take a photo), select options—>geotagging—>disabled.

it can sound so fucking smug, but i am happy. there’s always things to change, things to do differently, even just things to do, but sometimes it just has to be enough. it’s enough. and right now, 12:07am, about to crawl into bed with my lovely dog sleeping at my feet… after a full day of walking, adventuring, studying, laughing — it’s enough, it’s more than enough, and i am happy.

just another reason why i’m ever so happy to be friends with my very favorite podmonster. plus, i am always about channeling energies & deeply respect people who can make the most out of a less than ideal situation.

also, i kinda just love my friend. and who’s gonna hate on productivity streak? not i said the little one.

can’t even explain how much better my morning was after getting this photo of buddy via text from my little brother. i get to see them both tomorrow!

so looking forward to the big beautiful mountains, scenic views, my favorite dog playing in creeks and running around, long walks with my mom, long talks with my dad, learning how to cook new things with ana, probably watching movies with the lil bro and enjoying thanksgiving with the rest of my crazy wonderful family.
